It preserves its spirit, foundations, and principles, while adapting them to the current realities of professional practice, governance, and administrative obligations.<\/p><p data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1104\">Membership in the CPMDQ implies full and unconditional acceptance of this Code.<\/p><p data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1446\">By the solemn oath taken at the time of membership, and by express reference to the articles of this Code of Ethics for CPMDQ members, no member may exempt themselves from the obligations, prohibitions, and responsibilities set forth herein, nor invoke ignorance, personal interpretation, or any other justification to avoid compliance.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div data-end=\"1519\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 1 \u2013 INTEGRITY, HONESTY, AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"1521\" data-end=\"1616\"><strong data-start=\"1521\" data-end=\"1528\">1.1<\/strong> Members must conduct their activities with integrity, honesty, loyalty, and good faith.<\/p><p data-start=\"1618\" data-end=\"1772\"><strong data-start=\"1618\" data-end=\"1625\">1.2<\/strong> Any false declaration, intentional omission, misleading representation, or improper use of a title, license number, or CPMDQ status is prohibited.<\/p><p data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1933\"><strong data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1781\">1.3<\/strong> Members are personally and exclusively responsible for all acts, documents, communications, and receipts issued under their name and membership number.<\/p><hr data-start=\"1935\" data-end=\"1938\" \/><h4 data-start=\"1940\" data-end=\"2001\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 2 \u2013 PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND NON-DELEGATION<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2271\"><strong data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2010\">2.1<\/strong> Members remain fully responsible for the issuance of receipts, the use of their license number, and any representation of professional services carried out under their name, even when administrative tasks are performed with the assistance of a third party.<\/p><p data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2464\"><strong data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2280\">2.2<\/strong> The member\u2019s responsibility remains full and complete for any act, document, or receipt issued under their professional identity, regardless of the involvement of any third party.<\/p><hr data-start=\"2466\" data-end=\"2469\" \/><h4 data-start=\"2471\" data-end=\"2522\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 3 \u2013 COMPETENCE AND SCOPE OF PRACTICE<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"2524\" data-end=\"2690\"><strong data-start=\"2524\" data-end=\"2531\">3.1<\/strong> Members must practice exclusively within the limits of their training, recognized competencies, and the modalities for which they are accredited by the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"2692\" data-end=\"2826\"><strong data-start=\"2692\" data-end=\"2699\">3.2<\/strong> It is prohibited to represent as a personal service any intervention that was not actually performed by the member themselves.<\/p><hr data-start=\"2828\" data-end=\"2831\" \/><h4 data-start=\"2833\" data-end=\"2872\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 4 \u2013 ISSUANCE OF RECEIPTS<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"2874\" data-end=\"3040\"><strong data-start=\"2874\" data-end=\"2881\">4.1<\/strong> Members acknowledge that the issuance of receipts, including those used for insurance purposes, constitutes an act engaging their personal responsibility.<\/p><p data-start=\"3042\" data-end=\"3275\"><strong data-start=\"3042\" data-end=\"3049\">4.2<\/strong> Members are required to familiarize themselves with, understand, and comply at all times with the rules, policies, and requirements applicable to the issuance of receipts, as adopted by the CPMDQ in the context of membership.<\/p><p data-start=\"3277\" data-end=\"3522\"><strong data-start=\"3277\" data-end=\"3284\">4.3<\/strong> It is the exclusive responsibility of the member to ensure that they are adequately informed of applicable policies before issuing any receipt or carrying out any administrative or professional act related to their membership status.<\/p><p data-start=\"3524\" data-end=\"3683\"><strong data-start=\"3524\" data-end=\"3531\">4.4<\/strong> Members are solely responsible for the compliance, accuracy, use, and consequences of the receipts they issue, including with respect to third parties.<\/p><p data-start=\"3685\" data-end=\"3869\"><strong data-start=\"3685\" data-end=\"3692\">4.5<\/strong> Members may not invoke ignorance, failure to consult policies, personal interpretation, or a client\u2019s request to justify a breach of applicable rules, policies, or obligations.<\/p><p data-start=\"3871\" data-end=\"4108\"><strong data-start=\"3871\" data-end=\"3878\">4.6<\/strong> Any failure to comply with the rules, policies, or requirements applicable to the issuance of receipts may result in administrative or disciplinary measures, based on the established facts and the analysis conducted by the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"3871\" data-end=\"4108\"><strong data-start=\"139\" data-end=\"173\">4.7 \u2013<span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"> Access to Member Account<\/span><\/strong><br data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"176\" \/>Access to the CPMDQ member account is personal and confidential.<br data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"245\" \/>The member is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his or her login credentials.<br data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"344\" \/>The member remains fully responsible for all documents, receipts, communications and activities generated under his or her account.<\/p><hr data-start=\"4110\" data-end=\"4113\" \/><h4 data-start=\"4115\" data-end=\"4152\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 5 \u2013 INSURANCE RECEIPTS<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"4154\" data-end=\"4316\">Members must exercise rigor and sound judgment in the issuance of any receipt and ensure that it accurately reflects a professional service actually rendered.<\/p><p data-start=\"4318\" data-end=\"4477\">The issuance of receipts for purposes other than the acknowledgment of a service effectively provided constitutes a breach of the member\u2019s ethical obligations.<\/p><hr data-start=\"4479\" data-end=\"4482\" \/><h4 data-start=\"4484\" data-end=\"4528\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 6 \u2013 PROFESSIONAL INDEPENDENCE<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"4530\" data-end=\"4701\"><strong data-start=\"4530\" data-end=\"4537\">6.1<\/strong> Members must preserve their professional independence at all times and avoid any situation likely to compromise their objectivity, judgment, or the public\u2019s trust.<\/p><hr data-start=\"4703\" data-end=\"4706\" \/><h4 data-start=\"4708\" data-end=\"4776\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 7 \u2013 PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND ETHICAL BOUNDARIES<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"4778\" data-end=\"4877\"><strong data-start=\"4778\" data-end=\"4785\">7.1<\/strong> Members must maintain a strictly professional relationship with their clients at all times.<\/p><p data-start=\"4879\" data-end=\"5114\"><strong data-start=\"4879\" data-end=\"4886\">7.2<\/strong> It is formally prohibited to engage in or attempt to engage in any sexual, intimate, emotional, or inappropriate relationship with a client when a professional relationship or a real or perceived situation of dependency exists.<\/p><p data-start=\"5116\" data-end=\"5205\"><strong data-start=\"5116\" data-end=\"5123\">7.3<\/strong> Any breach of professional boundaries may constitute a serious ethical violation.<\/p><hr data-start=\"5207\" data-end=\"5210\" \/><h4 data-start=\"5212\" data-end=\"5274\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 8 \u2013 ABUSE OF INFLUENCE AND COMMERCIAL PRACTICES<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"5276\" data-end=\"5375\"><strong data-start=\"5276\" data-end=\"5283\">8.1<\/strong> Members must demonstrate respect, transparency, and integrity in all dealings with clients.<\/p><p data-start=\"5377\" data-end=\"5482\"><strong data-start=\"5377\" data-end=\"5384\">8.2<\/strong> Any form of pressure, manipulation, forced selling, or abusive commercial practice is prohibited.<\/p><p data-start=\"5484\" data-end=\"5631\"><strong data-start=\"5484\" data-end=\"5491\">8.3<\/strong> Members must never condition access to a service, continuity of care, or any advantage on the purchase of unnecessary products or services.<\/p><hr data-start=\"5633\" data-end=\"5636\" \/><h4 data-start=\"5638\" data-end=\"5693\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 9 \u2013 FINANCIAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"5695\" data-end=\"5810\"><strong data-start=\"5695\" data-end=\"5702\">9.1<\/strong> Members must avoid any situation that creates a conflict of interest or financial dependency with a client.<\/p><p data-start=\"5812\" data-end=\"5960\"><strong data-start=\"5812\" data-end=\"5819\">9.2<\/strong> It is strictly prohibited to borrow money from a client, solicit a loan, donation, investment, or any financial benefit, direct or indirect.<\/p><p data-start=\"5962\" data-end=\"6090\"><strong data-start=\"5962\" data-end=\"5969\">9.3<\/strong> Any inappropriate financial relationship may constitute a serious ethical violation, depending on the established facts.<\/p><hr data-start=\"6092\" data-end=\"6095\" \/><h4 data-start=\"6097\" data-end=\"6157\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 10 \u2013 COOPERATION, VERIFICATION, AND REPORTING<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"6159\" data-end=\"6304\"><strong data-start=\"6159\" data-end=\"6167\">10.1<\/strong> Members are required to cooperate fully, loyally, and in writing with any verification or request for information made by the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"6306\" data-end=\"6427\"><strong data-start=\"6306\" data-end=\"6314\">10.2<\/strong> Refusal to cooperate, withholding information, or providing incomplete responses constitutes ethical violations.<\/p><p data-start=\"6429\" data-end=\"6538\"><strong data-start=\"6429\" data-end=\"6437\">10.3<\/strong> Telephone communications do not replace the written documentation obligations required by the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"6540\" data-end=\"7072\"><strong data-start=\"6540\" data-end=\"6548\">10.4<\/strong> Members must under no circumstances intervene, represent, negotiate, argue, correspond, or take a position with an insurance company or any other third party regarding the acceptance, refusal, analysis, or interpretation of a claim, contract, or decision that does not fall within their professional role.<br data-start=\"6854\" data-end=\"6857\" \/>The member\u2019s role is strictly limited to issuing the receipt and, where applicable, providing factual confirmation of information they personally declared, without interpretation, justification, or advocacy.<\/p><p data-start=\"7074\" data-end=\"7670\"><strong data-start=\"7074\" data-end=\"7082\">10.5<\/strong> When a member possesses objective, verifiable, or documented elements reasonably suggesting that another member has committed a serious breach of this Code, they have the responsibility to notify the CPMDQ in good faith, in order to allow for an appropriate review of the situation.<br data-start=\"7373\" data-end=\"7376\" \/>This obligation does not apply to rumors, personal impressions, or differences of opinion, but only to serious facts supported by concrete elements.<br data-start=\"7524\" data-end=\"7527\" \/>It is exercised with respect for the rights of the persons concerned and without prejudice to the conclusions that may be reached by the CPMDQ.<\/p><hr data-start=\"7672\" data-end=\"7675\" \/><h4 data-start=\"7677\" data-end=\"7751\"><strong><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">ARTICLE 11 \u2013 PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND CONFIDENTIALITY<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4 data-start=\"7752\" data-end=\"7774\"><span style=\"color: #a7a9ac;\">(Member obligations)<\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"7776\" data-end=\"7952\"><strong data-start=\"7776\" data-end=\"7784\">11.1<\/strong> Personal, confidential, and administrative information to which a member has access in the context of their membership remains the exclusive property of the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"7954\" data-end=\"8129\"><strong data-start=\"7954\" data-end=\"7962\">11.2<\/strong> Members are prohibited from using, retaining, disclosing, or transmitting such information without written authorization from the CPMDQ, except where required by law.<\/p><p data-start=\"8131\" data-end=\"8281\"><strong data-start=\"8131\" data-end=\"8139\">11.3<\/strong> The obligations set out in this article apply exclusively to members and do not subject the CPMDQ to the ethical rules applicable to members.<\/p><hr data-start=\"8283\" data-end=\"8286\" \/><p data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"173\"><strong><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">ARTICLE 12 \u2013 SUPPORTING MEMBERS AND STUDENT MEMBERS<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"175\" data-end=\"382\">12.1 Supporting members and student members are required to comply with the rules of conduct, loyalty, cooperation, and confidentiality set out in this Code, insofar as they apply to their respective status.<\/p><p data-start=\"384\" data-end=\"554\">12.2 Supporting members are not authorized to perform professional acts, issue receipts, or use a title, designation, or license number reserved for practitioner members.<\/p><p data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"757\">12.3 Student members may practice and issue receipts only in the fields of practice, modalities, or professions for which they already hold valid accreditation, independent of their student status.<\/p><p data-start=\"759\" data-end=\"1072\">12.4 Student member status is intended exclusively for continuing education or the acquisition of additional competencies and does not authorize professional practice, issuance of receipts, or use of a title in a field of study or modality for which the student member is not already duly accredited by the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1262\">12.5 It is the exclusive responsibility of the student member to comply with the limits of their status, their current accreditations, and the rules applicable to the issuance of receipts.<\/p><hr data-start=\"8650\" data-end=\"8653\" \/><h4 data-start=\"8705\" data-end=\"8713\">13.1<\/strong> Membership in the CPMDQ does not create any mandate, agency, employment, partnership, or representation relationship between the member and the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"8866\" data-end=\"8983\"><strong data-start=\"8866\" data-end=\"8874\">13.2<\/strong> Members may not present themselves as representatives or spokespersons of the CPMDQ under any circumstances.<\/p><hr data-start=\"8985\" data-end=\"8988\" \/><h4 data-start=\"8990\" data-end=\"9029\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><strong>ARTICLE 14 \u2013 NO APPROVAL OF ACTS<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"9031\" data-end=\"9221\"><strong data-start=\"9031\" data-end=\"9039\">14.1<\/strong> Membership in the CPMDQ, the issuance of a license number, or the recognition of a status does not constitute approval, validation, or a guarantee of the acts performed by a member.<\/p><hr data-start=\"9223\" data-end=\"9226\" \/><h4 data-start=\"9228\" data-end=\"9288\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><strong>ARTICLE 15 \u2013 ADMINISTRATIVE AND DISCIPLINARY MEASURES<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"9290\" data-end=\"9455\"><strong data-start=\"9290\" data-end=\"9298\">15.1<\/strong> Any breach of this Code may result in administrative or disciplinary measures, including suspension, cancellation of membership, or refusal of reactivation.<\/p><p data-start=\"9457\" data-end=\"9558\"><strong data-start=\"9457\" data-end=\"9465\">15.2<\/strong> Such measures may be applied independently of any external complaint or judicial proceeding.<\/p><hr data-start=\"9560\" data-end=\"9563\" \/><h4 data-start=\"9565\" data-end=\"9608\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><strong>ARTICLE 16 \u2013 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"9610\" data-end=\"9796\"><strong data-start=\"9610\" data-end=\"9618\">16.1<\/strong> The CPMDQ assumes no civil, financial, professional, penal, or criminal liability arising from acts, omissions, faults, negligence, or offenses personally committed by a member.<\/p><p data-start=\"9798\" data-end=\"9984\"><strong data-start=\"9798\" data-end=\"9806\">16.2<\/strong> Any lawsuit, investigation, or judicial proceeding involving a member falls exclusively under the member\u2019s personal responsibility, without transfer or attribution to the CPMDQ.<\/p><p data-start=\"9798\" data-end=\"9984\"><strong>16.3<\/strong> The existence of this Code, or the fact that a member is affiliated with the CPMDQ, does not create any duty, responsibility, supervision, control, or liability on the part of the CPMDQ toward clients, insurers, or any third party for acts, omissions, breaches, or misconduct committed by a member.<\/p><hr data-start=\"9986\" data-end=\"9989\" \/><h4 data-start=\"9991\" data-end=\"10027\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><strong>ARTICLE 17 \u2013 ENTRY INTO FORCE<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"10029\" data-end=\"10210\"><strong data-start=\"10029\" data-end=\"10037\">17.1<\/strong> This Code, as revised and amended, enters into force upon its adoption by the CPMDQ and replaces any prior version, while ensuring continuity with the Code adopted in 1994.<\/p><p data-start=\"10212\" data-end=\"10266\"><strong data-start=\"10212\" data-end=\"10220\">17.2<\/strong> It applies to all members, without exception.<\/p><hr data-start=\"10268\" data-end=\"10271\" \/><h4 data-start=\"10273\" data-end=\"10315\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><strong>ARTICLE 18 \u2013 ADOPTION BY RESOLUTION<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p data-start=\"10317\" data-end=\"10486\"><strong data-start=\"10317\" data-end=\"10325\">18.1<\/strong> This Code of Ethics for members, including its amendments, was adopted by resolution of the Board of Directors of the CPMDQ, duly convened for that purpose.<\/p><p data-start=\"10488\" data-end=\"10615\"><strong data-start=\"10488\" data-end=\"10496\">18.2<\/strong> It enters into force on the date of its adoption by the Board of Directors and applies to all members as of that date.<\/p><p data-start=\"10617\"
